Collis Ta’eed, Founder

Collis, the CEO of Envato, started the Netsetter in early 2009 as a place for him to share his thoughts on Internet startups. Since then it’s grown into a site with its own editor and team of writers with heaps of practical information on making a living from the Internet. Collis likes to joke that when it comes to starting websites he has a slight attention deficit disorder.

“With the barriers to starting your own online business getting lower and lower, there’s a growing class of online entrepreneurs that I sometimes call the net set, kinda like that old term the jet set – which doesn’t make much sense any more now that I think about it. From that term came the name of this blog, because I hope that you dear reader are a fellow netsetter!”

Mike Vardy, Editor

Mike Vardy is the creator of the personal productivity parody site, Eventualism, and is also the editor at our sister site, WorkAwesome. In addition to contributing to other productivity sites (GTD Times, Productive! Magazine), he also co-hosts the weekly pop culture and tech podcast, DyscultureD. Also known as a comedy writer and performer, Mike plies his trade(s) and lives in Victoria, BC, Canada with his wife, daughter and son.

Joel Falconer, Manager

Joel Falconer is the Envato guy who runs FreelanceSwitch, WorkAwesome and the Netsetter—all sites he formerly edited. With the help of his intrepid editing team, Joel’s job is to make sure the sites are getting traffic and earning revenue. You can find him on Twitter.
